Check out the mural in progress that I am working on with the Coordination Studio and Bonedale Ballet.  It is a set design for their upcoming story ballet Dancers and Dinosaurs on June 4 and 5.  It has been a really fun community project with lots of amazing volunteers helping out each week.

This is a sketch that I am working on for a painting idea.  Came to me when I was in Los Angeles.  Using the power lines to dry the clothes.  A little modern day irony. 

I have to share these paintings in conjunction with my writing on procrastination because these are what that piece is all about.  I was commissioned to paint these two years ago in May and February respectively.   I knew they wouldn't take me too long to do and I priced them accordingly.  
And then other projects came up. . .  Then I had put them off for almost a year and I felt guilty every time I thought about them so working on them meant moving that guilt to the forefront of my mind and facing it.  Also not something that felt comfortable.  So I just didn't do them.  For two years.  And when I finally set a goal to finish them by the end of April, I realized how silly it had been. They took me approx 6 hours to finish both commissions.  And when I think back on the hours and hours and hours of turmoil and pain I put myself through, it seems like a really funny kind of psychosis.  Anyway, lesson learned, I hope.
